Delta Zeta Sorority "Better Speech & Hearing" Philanthropy

Sacred Heart University is home to over a dozen Greek Life organizations that spend their time around campus giving back to their communities through philanthropic efforts. The Delta Zeta sorority chapter at the University is particularly involved & generous, as the girls worked rigorously to organize an event with their partners at the university's brand new "Martire Family arena" on November 17th, 2024. Daybreake Co-Founder, Thomas Remmen, is a student at the University and heavily involved in community events across the school. He was thrilled when the girls of Delta Zeta invited Daybreake to come help out at their event.
Junior Sorority member Paige Dreyfus, explained the philanthropic efforts to us:
Our philanthropy is Better Speech and Hearing. DZ has 4 partners including, Starkey Hearing Foundation, American Society for Deaf Children, SeriousFun Children’s Network and LivFree. We raise money to help men women and children live happily whether its giving hearing aids, teaching ASL classes, sending children with any serious medical condition to camp or sending a family on a once in a lifetime experience. We all truly love helping our partners in any way we can!
We were proud to be a partner for the event by selling our merchandise and contributing a portion of our proceeds back into their philanthropic organizations. We got a wonderful welcome from the girls of Delta Zeta and Sacred Heart University as a whole. We are very excited to partner with more organizations around campus to continue using the Daybreake brand to be a platform for positive change in the world.
